The HUD 242/223f program provides a streamlined refinance and acquisition process for acute care hospitals – including Critical Access Hospitals.

There is no maximum loan amount; and properties are eligible for a 90% loan-to-value ratio (i.e., can borrow up to 90% of the estimated replacement cost of the project). The costs of new capital projects (i.e., construction and/or equipment) may be included in the loan, provided they are less than 20% of the loan amount, however there is no cash-out.
